Drama Thriller 1940s Spanish Post-War

The year 1943, in the middle of the war in Europe. Franco has blocked the passage of Jews fleeing Nazi repression through the Pyrenees. At the customs office of a border town, Manel Grau, a civil servant with a Republican past, decides to break the orders with the help of Juliana, a neighbor of the town, and Jerôme, a French smuggler. Together they start a crusade to help as many Jews as possible to flee. It is then when Manel will be trapped in a dangerous odyssey that will awaken in him and his wife Mercé old ghosts of the still recent Spanish Civil War.
