In the Good Old Summertime (1949) is set in early 20th century America, where two individuals, Andrew and Veronica, initially cross paths in a less than pleasant manner. Their first encounter involves a collision, leading to an immediate and mutual dislike. This dislike deepens when Andrew is compelled to employ Veronica as a saleswoman at Oberkugen's music store. Unbeknownst to them, their days are filled with constant arguments and disagreements, while their evenings are marked by a romantic and anonymous correspondence through the post office.
