Tulsa (1949) unfolds in the heart of Oklahoma during the dawn of the oil boom. The narrative begins with the tragic demise of Cherokee Lansing's rancher father, who is fatally injured in a confrontation with the Tanner Oil Company. Driven by a thirst for vengeance, Cherokee sets out to exact her revenge by drilling her own oil wells. She enlists the expertise of oil specialist Brad Brady and the support of her childhood friend Jim Redbird. As the oil begins to flow and wealth pours in, both Brad and Jim become determined to safeguard the land. However, Cherokee's initial quest for retribution evolves into a consuming desire for riches and influence, setting the stage for a complex and dramatic tale.
