Lucas (1986) follows the story of Lucas Blye, a bright and socially awkward 14-year-old navigating the challenges of high school. His life takes an interesting turn when he crosses paths with Maggie, a charming and older girl who has recently relocated to their town. Their encounter occurs during one of Lucas's insect-collecting adventures, leading Maggie to take a liking to him. Throughout the summer, Maggie spends quality time with Lucas, forming a unique bond. Meanwhile, Lucas faces constant harassment and ridicule from his peers. However, he finds an unexpected ally in Cappie Roew, a senior football player who steps in to defend him.
