After the death of her parents, Victoria is left in charge of a distant relative, a strict woman convinced that the sickly aspect and the erratic attitude of the girl will be corrected by vapors treatment and assistance to the church. But Victoria does not improve and the woman begins to suffer an intense toothache. And the more frequent Victoria's visits become to the garden shed, the more the woman's tooth aches.
