Dachra (2018) unfolds in modern-day Tunisia, centering around Yasmin, an ambitious journalism student, and her two male peers who embark on an academic project to unravel the chilling mystery of Mongia. Mongia, a woman discovered brutally mutilated a quarter-century ago, is now confined in an asylum, accused of practicing witchcraft. As the trio delves deeper into their inquiry, they inadvertently enter the eerie and foreboding realm of Dachra, a secluded rural estate populated by goats, silent women, enigmatic dried meat, and bubbling pots. This place serves as the headquarters for a sinister cult. When the cult's seemingly friendly yet threatening leader extends an invitation for them to spend the night, Yasmin finds herself ensnared in Dachra's sinister secrets and a frantic struggle to survive.
