Van Gogh, deux mois et une éternité

The film, directed by filmmaker Anne Richard and co-produced by Cinétévé, Canal ARTE France and the Musée d'Orsay, invites us to rediscover the work of Vincent van Gogh through a hitherto little-known character, Johanna Bonger van Gogh, his sister-in-law and heir to his estate. Although she only knew him during the last two months of his life, Johanna dedicated her life to making the painter's work known to the world. Following her painstaking efforts to understand his art and bring it to the attention of critics and art dealers alike, the documentary allows us to approach Van Gogh's genius from an unprecedented and profoundly human perspective.
