The Crimson Circle
1960 · Movie · 92 min. · Germany - West Germany (FRG)
A brutal gang, which calls itself "Crimson Circle", blackmails the high-society of London. Whoever does not follow their demands is murdered. Unsuccessful Superintendent Parr (Karl George Saebisch) remains without a clue, so the famous detective Derrick Yale (Klaus Juergen Wussow) is sent out to assist the unproductive Superintendent. Yale's sharp wit and outstanding reputation should calm down the enraged public. The two investigators actually succeed by picking up a first clue, leading to Paris, where the following incident had occured: A condemned murderer was to be executed. The guillotine fell - however, just before the blade could separate the head from the neck of the delinquent, it got stuck on a nail. The blade merely scored the murderer's throat, which is why a sort of red blood circle was formed around his neck. The murderer was pardoned and left Paris. And without any doubt he is the leader of the "Crimson Circle". But what does he look like? Where is he hidden?
