Mending Fences (TV) (2009) follows Kelly Faraday, who, after being overlooked for a coveted anchor position due to her marital status, decides to reconnect with her heritage. She returns to her family's ranch with her daughter Kamilla, where they encounter the resolute Ruth Hanson, Kelly's grandmother. Ruth insists they work together to preserve the ranch amidst a severe drought, as neighboring properties are sold to a corporation planning to construct a casino. Meanwhile, Kelly's former spouse, Walt Mitchell, who is now Ruth's foreman, reignites their romantic connection. Kamilla finds solace with Chuck, the son of a local rancher, Hank Bentley. Additionally, the story unfolds with the revelation of a company's involvement in illicit and potentially hazardous drug trade.
