The Fox and the Child
2007 · Movie · 92 min. · France
"The Fox and the Child" centres on a young girl and her magical, life changing encounter with a fox. The film combines nature documentary footage with a fictionalised story. Directed by Luc Jacquet (The March of the Penguins). The little girl uses what she has learned from reading many books about foxes to find and follow one particular animal who leads her on an unexpected adventure. The girl later tries to find the fox, in order to befriend it, trudging through deep snow which leads her to have an accident. The fox meanwhile has her own dangers ahead but by the summertime the two very different red–headed creatures become friends. Narrator (voice) in the english version: Kate Winslet.
