L'île bleue

France, 1940. In a rural château, Mellie, her father Alexandre and her cousin Robinson live isolated from the war. Fifteen-year-old Bertrand falls in love with Mellie and decides to defend the "blue island" of the lake with an old rifle. When a German lieutenant, Frantz von Pikkendorf, arrives, Bertrand challenges him and is killed in the confrontation. After the war, Pikkendorf visits Bertrand's grave and is reunited with Mellie.
