She becomes friends with Moira, a village girl whose father is a fisherman and whose Spanish mother ran away 15 years earlier. There is the beginning of an affair between a Spanish soldier and Moira. But village gossip and intrigues put a stop to this idyll. Prisoners of this narrow world, the two women attempt to flee.
