Fishbone (2018) follows the story of Jan, a dedicated chef working in a prestigious Manhattan restaurant. Her life is consumed by her career, leaving little room for personal connections. When her father unexpectedly passes away, Jan is compelled to take a brief hiatus from her hectic life in New York and return to Tabarca, a small island off the coast of Spain in the Mediterranean Sea. Upon her arrival, Jan grapples with the realization that, despite her belief in having outgrown her roots, the island holds a different perspective on her identity.
