Collateral (2004) follows Max (Jamie Foxx), a taxi driver who has spent the past dozen years navigating the streets of Los Angeles, his life a series of fleeting encounters with passengers. However, his routine is disrupted when Vincent (Tom Cruise), a professional assassin, commandeers his cab. Vincent is on a mission to eliminate key witnesses for an offshore narcotics syndicate facing federal indictment. As the night unfolds, Max finds himself entangled in Vincent's deadly agenda, becoming an unwitting pawn in a high-stakes game of survival. The LAPD and FBI are in hot pursuit, but as the night progresses, Max and Vincent form an unlikely bond, each relying on the other in ways they never anticipated.
