Whiteout (2000) follows a tense scenario where a band of terrorists seizes control of Japan's most massive dam, holding the workers captive. They issue a dire ultimatum to the government: pay JPY$5 billion within 24 hours or the hostages will face dire consequences. The situation becomes even more precarious as a severe snowstorm hits, isolating the area and preventing any external intervention. However, there is a glimmer of hope: Togashi, the dam controller, evaded capture and is the sole individual capable of orchestrating a rescue mission to save the hostages from the terrorists' clutches.
