The Japanese and American collaboration documentary film,“WA-SHOKU ~Beyond Sushi~” produced by United Television Broadcasting Systems / Film Voice and directed by award winning director, Junichi Suzuki. Featuring Mr. Noritoshi Kanai, Chairman of Mutual Trading Co., Inc., Nobu Matsuhisa, the chef/owner of Nobu restaurants, Katsuya Uechi, the chef/owner of Katsu-ya group, Tyson Cole, the chef/owner of Uchi restaurant, Joel Robuchon, a French chef, Yoshihiro Murata, the chef/owner of Kyoto Kikunoi, Shige Nakamura a Ramen master and more. This feature documentary film about the Japanese food and also about the importance of presentation in japanese cuisine shows the past and the future of Wa-Shoku that these men and women created and how they maintained the essential traditional qualities of Japanese food.
