Synopsis of Alan Bennett's Diaries
Documentary following Bennett over the course of year as he publishes his latest volume of diaries. Features a trip to New York to receive an award from the city's public library, a national radio appearance and a visit to his local community-run library in Primrose Hill, London. Bennett candidly reflects on key periods of his life as well as providing observations on current events.
