Overwhelmed by despair, he acknowledges his unworthiness, echoing the words of the biblical prodigal son, "I am no more worthy to be called thy son." In a state of exhaustion, he retreats to a pigsty, where he eats ravenously, symbolizing his fall from grace and the consequences of his actions.
