Dumbbells (2014) chronicles the journey of Chris Long, a former NCAA athlete turned fitness coach, who discovers a renewed sense of mission when the superficial new proprietor, Jack Guy, introduces a profitable scheme to transform the overlooked gym into a reality television sensation. As Chris' indifferent colleagues push back against this novel approach, he and Jack form an unexpected partnership. Together, they confront their personal demons and work towards securing the gym's future.
