Lost in the Sahara
1985 · Movie · 99 min. · Spain
Two Spaniards traveling in the Sahara Desert get involved with danger, Tuareg tribesmen and a beautiful French girl. It is 1973 when two young men from Madrid, Javier and Hafa (Antonio Junco and Enrique Perez) and the attractive Florance (Maru Valdivielo) take off for a 6,000-mile journey through the Sahara desert without any idea of what lies ahead. Propelled by a sense of adventure and fun, the three alternately enjoy themselves and/or quarrel, Hafa chases after Florance, and Javier chases after photos of scenery, tribal people, townsfolk, and animal life -- whatever presents itself. Along the way, the inexperienced trio have to deal with thieves, they are stranded without their land rover, and their adventures take on a serious overtone as the power of the relentless desert and the brigands that travel its sands become increasingly more evident.
