Duel of Legends (2015) is set in 1967 China, where a young orphan named Dax is forced to fend for himself after his missionary parents are brutally killed by rebels. He is discovered and taken in by a Shaolin Temple monk, who teaches him the ways of martial arts. Twenty-five years later, Dax is living in Los Angeles and crosses paths with an old acquaintance who now works for the FBI. This friend seeks Dax's assistance in unraveling a complex case involving the trafficking of young girls. Dax goes undercover to participate in a clandestine fighting tournament featuring world champions from various martial arts disciplines. As he delves deeper into the competition, Dax encounters a sinister underbelly of the secret event. He learns that the reigning champion, Shin, is not only his most formidable opponent in combat but also holds the key to the mystery surrounding his parents' deaths and a cryptic black book his father once possessed. As the narrative progresses, Dax uncovers a web of crimes, guilt, and hidden truths.
