Keeping the Faith (2000) follows the story of two lifelong friends, Brian (Edward Norton), a dedicated priest, and Jake (Ben Stiller), a committed rabbi, who both find themselves drawn to Anna (Jenna Elfman), an old childhood friend who has returned to New York City to advance her demanding career. Brian, bound by his vow of celibacy, and Jake, constrained by religious traditions, face significant challenges in their romantic pursuits. Anna, a workaholic, is not Jewish, but this does not deter her from developing feelings for Jake, leading to a secret relationship that complicates their friendship with Brian. As their romantic entanglements deepen, the trio grapples with profound questions about faith, both in their religious beliefs and in their romantic connections.
