Congress of Love (1966) transports viewers to Vienna, 1965, where a group of tourists visiting the Wax Museum are abruptly sent back in time to the historic Vienna Congress of 1814-1815. As they stand before the figure of Prince Metternich, they witness the pivotal moments of European history unfolding before their eyes. The narrative revolves around the Tsar of Russia, Alexander I, and the Kings of Bavaria, Württemberg, Prussia, and Denmark, who believe they are shaping the future of Europe. However, they are unwittingly manipulated by the cunning Chancellor Metternich, who is himself controlled by the shrewd Count Talleyrand, the French representative. Amidst these political machinations, the aristocrats find solace in the vibrant social life and lavish parties, which ultimately become their primary focus.
