The whole village laughs about Sandor rhymes, only the silly Zsupan holds the song for a seriously meant honor. His pretty companion, however, understands the text and moved to Sandor and slaps him. Later Sandor encounters to the large Gypsy community in the village, where was once established by kind-hearted Barinkay. The leader of the gypsy, the old, wise Czipra guards the inheritance of his father, for the missing son of the old Barinkay.
