Lust of the Vampire

The first Italian horror film of the sound era, director Riccardo Freda left the production, leaving the cameraman Mario Bava to finish the film, where he re-ordered and finessed the story. The result is a gothic masterpiece that anticipates Black Sunday`s style and special effects and changed Italian horror cinema forever. A mad scientist captures young women and drains their blood, in order to keep alive an ancient, evil duchess.
