Dr. Gillespie's Criminal Case (1943) follows the story of Dr. Gillespie as he faces a series of challenges. After attempting to have a dangerous criminal, Roy, committed to an asylum instead of prison, Gillespie finds himself entangled in a web of complications. Roy's former fiancée seeks Gillespie's counsel as she plans to marry a soldier, while Gillespie and his team work tirelessly to save a young girl, Margaret, from a severe epidemic in the children's ward. Meanwhile, Roy escapes from prison, armed and dangerous, adding to the urgency of the situation. Additionally, Red is pursued by a charming socialite, and Lee offers support to a double-amputee, encouraging him to find hope and purpose in life.
