Les nuits de Montmartre (1955) follows the story of Bobby (Robert Verdier), a notorious con artist who has a reputation that precedes him with the police. Inspector Doirel has been on his tail for some time, but Bobby always manages to provide ironclad alibis. During a heist, Bobby inadvertently witnesses a murder and flees the scene, fearing he will be framed for the crime. However, his luck runs out when Inspector Doirel apprehends him. With the assistance of Monique, a bar hostess and Bobby's friend, Inspector Doirel must work to clear Bobby's name and apprehend the true culprit.
