Wavelength
2017 · Documentary · 40 min. · France
Audiovisual performance. This work combines a cathode rays tube and celluloid, pure electrical signals and analogue film. Wavelength is a research around the wave concept that explores the scope of an electrical signal manipulating its frequency and amplitude; repetition / destructuring, accidents / crepitations dialogue with the particles of photochemical emulsion in perpetual movement. The images and sounds are generated through a handmade low frequency generator, and then manipulated using that same generator and four 16mm projectors during the performance. Sound and light waves to vibrate in overflowing and overwhelming communion.
