Mr Jinnah: The Making of Pakistan
1997 · Documentary · 90 min. · Pakistan
The world changed forever in 1947 with the partiation of British India, but the story behind the creation of Pakistan, which became the largest Muslim nation on earth, is muddled. Popular films like Ghandi only present one side of the story. This documentary film explores the life of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Quaid-i-Azam, and the story of how Pakistan itself came into being. It is an intimate portrait that features first published interviews with Jinnah’s daughter, Dina, and private secretary.
