Lieber Kurt (2022) follows the story of Kurt, portrayed by Til Schweiger, and his partner Lena, played by Franziska Machens, as they embark on a new chapter by relocating to an old, dilapidated house on the outskirts of the city. Their motivation is to be nearer to Kurt's young son, six-year-old Kurt, affectionately known as little Kurt, and his ex-wife Jana, played by Jasmin Gerat. The couple hopes that this move will bring them closer to their family and provide a fresh start.
