The Wrong Road (1937) follows a young married couple whose life together hasn't unfolded as they had hoped. In a desperate bid to secure their future, they hatch a plan to steal $100,000 from the bank where the husband is employed. Their scheme involves hiding the money in a secure location and retrieving it after serving their prison sentences. Initially, everything seems to go smoothly, but upon their release, they encounter unexpected obstacles. An insurance investigator and the husband's former cellmate, who seeks a share of the loot, begin to tail them, complicating their plans and putting their freedom at risk.
