The Heist (TV) (1989) follows the story of Neil Skinner, a former San Diego racetrack-security expert turned ex-convict, who was betrayed and set up by his former partner, Ebbet. Ebbet has since taken control of the racetrack's security and has also won over Neil's former girlfriend, Sheila. Seeking retribution, Neil devises a plan to steal the day's earnings and recruits a diverse group of racetrack regulars to assist him, including a janitor, a security guard, and an ambulance driver. The plot thickens as the stolen money changes hands, leading to high-speed car chases across the Mexican border and back, creating a tense and unpredictable battle of wits to determine who will ultimately outsmart the others.
