A documentary by Xavier de Oliveira, made in 1965, in Favela da Rocinha, about the lives of children forced to work, whether in the community or outside, and in degrading situations of survival, instead of being at school, or in some playful activity, proper to their age. "Job's slaves" is intended to be a small sample of a dilemma that has unfortunately been perpetuating in our society. This short film was the winner of the First Amateur Film Festival, in Rio de Janeiro, promoted by Jornal do Brasil and Mesbla.
