A rural laborer suffers a work-related injury and realizes that he will die in just a few minutes. During these minutes—in total solitude and surrounded by a natural environment that is completely indifferent to his tragedy—he faces, almost without drama, the fact that he will die and that there is nothing he can do to change his destiny.
