Evil Spawn (1987) follows the chilling tale of microbes retrieved from Venus by a space probe and brought back to Earth. A dedicated scientist utilizes these microbes in experiments aimed at combating aging, but tragically passes away before completing the research. The scientist's assistant, driven by ambition, seeks out an aging actress who is being overlooked for leading roles. Desperate to regain her youth, the actress injects herself with the experimental serum. However, when she continues to be passed over for coveted parts, the alien bacterium within her mutates, transforming her into a grotesque, bug-like creature. This metamorphosis leads to a series of gruesome encounters with those who have wronged her, resulting in a grim and predictable series of events.
