Auggie (2019) follows the story of Felix Greystone, a man who is compelled to retire prematurely and finds solace in an augmented reality companion, leading to a strain in his bond with his wife and daughter. At his retirement celebration, Felix receives an early version of Auggie, a pair of advanced smart glasses that introduce a seemingly perfect human companion into his life. As his wife Anne secures a promotion and his daughter Grace becomes serious with her boyfriend, Felix feels increasingly isolated. He forms a deep connection with his new companion, Auggie (Christen Harper), who offers him the recognition and appreciation he craves. This relationship reignites a passion within Felix, and he finds himself falling for Auggie. However, as he becomes more engrossed in this virtual world, Felix struggles to see the detrimental impact on his real-life relationships and the true priorities in his life.
