Hurry Sundown (1967) unfolds in the post-World War II American South, where an African American and a white farmer join forces to implement an irrigation system for their lands, aiming to break free from the cycle of poverty that has long plagued their families. Their collaborative efforts, however, threaten the ambitions of a wealthy landowner, who resorts to manipulating family dynamics, legal tactics, and even involving his intellectually disabled son to thwart their plans.
