Lady Possessed (1952) follows the story of Jean Wilson, an American woman residing in a London nursing home. While in a state of heightened awareness, she overhears Jimmy Del Palma, a renowned concert pianist, expressing his frustration with the outdated medical care provided to his wife, who subsequently passes away. Upon her recovery, Jean decides to lease the former residence of the Del Palmas. Unbeknownst to her, she develops an inexplicable infatuation with Jimmy and begins to envision herself as his late wife. As her obsession deepens, Jean's fantasy starts to blur with reality, drawing her closer to the life she yearns for.
