Lhassa

Documentary filmed in 1985 in Lhasa, capital of Chinese Tibet, temporarily reopened to foreigners. From prayer wheels to thermoses filled with hot tea flavored with yak butter, passing through traditional funerals where the body of the deceased is offered as food to vultures, many details of the daily life of Tibetans are presented to us alternating with the images of great temples such as the Jokhang, and of course, the Potala, which until 1959 was the official residence of the Dalai Lama.
