Fever (2014) follows Jessica, a woman plagued by recurring nightmares since her youth, which she has been unable to decipher. This peculiarity has driven her to explore the psychophysiology of dreams and seek therapy with Sean, her mentor and romantic partner, to uncover the root of her nightmares. After the passing of her estranged maternal grandmother, Jessica is compelled to return to her family home, a place she shares a strained relationship with her mother. Upon arrival, she finds her grandmother's body in the room next to hers during the wake. After a turbulent first night marked by a bizarre dream encounter with her deceased grandmother, Jessica falls ill with a high fever. Confined to bed, she decides to harness her lethargic state to experiment with lucid dreaming.
