USSR. 1978. Extraordinarily gifted engineer, the passionate inventor Alexey Barannikov was exiled from Moscow because of political reasons, doomed for a miserable life of a driver in a deep province. But as an educated one - he became a personal driver for a young Mikail Gorbachev. Two years the best Soviet anti-counterfeiters detective and KGB special agent desperately tried to catch "the international gang" or "NATO spy saboteurs." They were suspecting those hypothetical "high-end equipped professionals" in the attempt of destabilization of the Soviet economy before the Olympic games by the endless flood of fake money that were made better than real.
