Synopsis of Contempt
French playwright Paul Javal (Michel Piccoli) is hired by the arrogant American producer Jeremy Prokosch (Jack Palance) to rewrite the screenplay of a commercial version of Ulysses and his Odyssey, to be directed by famous german director Fritz Lang (Fritz Lang) who wants to make an art film. Paul intends to use the money to quit the payments of the modern apartment where he lives with his gorgeous wife and former typist Camille (Brigitte Bardot).
