About a group of Japenese living in Paris and planning a terrorist act against the French government. Liane Haid, a nightclub singer, falls in love with Inkijinov and leaves her boyfriend de Kowa. She steals an important document, de Kowa tries to blackmail Inkijinov who strangles him. Then the youngster of the terrorists, played by Veit Harlan and also in love with Liane, takes the blame and faces trial for murder. There must be a long cut between his giving himself up to the police and the abrupt beginning of the trial. The original title was "Taifun", and the original length was 81 min. It was re-cut and released under "Police file no. 909" in Austria in 1934. Robert Wiene's last film in Germany.
