Los adioses

Michel Sarrazin mansion is a place where people go to die. Patients spend there their last days trying to recover the dignity that illness once stole from them. Blankets are all handmade, baths are fortifying and morphine has the power to drown even the most wicked of pains. Nobody is alone and, in summer, one is allowed to sleep under the moonlight. The sensitive point of view according to Carole Laganière -one of the most renowned documentary filmmakers in Québec- picks up the gestures that bond toghether both life and death. The helplessness and surrender of the ones who stay next to the affectionate struggle of those who painfully anticipate their farewell.
