The Factory

Giorgos Papyros, a tanner in the countryside, is trying really hard to rescue his small industry, in a rather hard time for small businesses. Giorgos is hoping to get a bank loan, but his request is rejected. So, he turns to a successful emigrant, Apostolis, who wants to marry his daughter, Valentini, who dreams of being an actress. However, this time, it’s his daughter who turns him down, not wanting to get married to someone she doesn’t love- especially after being raped. The poor businessman has nothing but debts, and he has no choice but to become, just like his son, a worker at the nearby factory, whose welfare is also uncertain.
