The Bushbaby (1969) follows the story of a young girl, the daughter of a park ranger stationed in Tanzania. Her world is turned upside down when she learns that she and her father must leave Africa permanently and return to England. This news is devastating to her, as it means she will have to leave behind her beloved pet bushbaby. In a desperate attempt to ensure her pet's well-being, she decides to set it free. However, in the process, she misses the boat that was supposed to take them back to England. Her situation becomes even more complicated when she encounters a friendly local who tries to help her. Unfortunately, a false report accuses the native of kidnapping her, leading to a manhunt and putting a bounty on his head.
