Friendship (1998) follows the emotional journey of Ayumi, a 14-year-old student diagnosed with leukemia. As her health deteriorates and she begins to lose her hair, Ayumi falls into a deep depression. However, her spirits are lifted when her classmates, in a profound display of solidarity and empathy, decide to shave their own heads in support of her. This act of kindness and unity highlights the power of friendship and community in the face of adversity.
