Often cited as the “first fashion film”, the great Peggy Moffitt conceived and shot over a weekend at the Algonquin Hotel in New York, and filmed by her husband William Claxton, it was intended to be a promotional reel, but quickly propelled hair stylist Vidal Sassoon and designer Rudi Gernreich into the spotlight.
