Hi, Nellie! (1934) follows the journey of Brad Bradshaw, a dedicated Managing Editor who stands by his principles. When Frank Canfield vanishes and rumors of bank embezzlement surface, Brad refuses to publish the story, believing in Frank's integrity. However, his stance leads to his demotion to the Heartthrob column, where he dispenses advice to lovelorn readers. Initially disheartened, Brad eventually embraces his new role and turns it into a sensation. Yet, his ambition to reclaim his former position drives him to uncover the truth about Canfield and the missing funds.
