The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

Makoto is a young high-school girl like the others, a little real tomboy, not many interested by the school and absolutely not concerned with the time which goes! Until the day when she finds that she has the ability to leap through time. With her newfound power, she tries to use it to her advantage, but soon finds that tampering with time can lead to some rather discomforting results. This movie is sequel of sorts to the original novel by Tsutsui Yasutaka, and the 1983 live-action movie - the main character's aunt is Yoshiyama Kazuko, the protagonist of the novel. The scenes featuring her in this movie are liberally sprinkled with references to the original novel and movie, including her description of a Sunday that was suddenly over before she knew it, and her former boyfriend who promised to return some day, to give a few examples.
